My "everyday-ish" makeup routine
Hi there.
I love applying and wearing makeup, because it makes me feel
so much better about myself, but I loooove the days where I don't need to wear
any, because it just feels so good to give your skin some rest and let it breathe.
My makeup usually depends on my mood in the morning, sometimes I will add
eyeliner, sometimes eyeshadow, it constantly changes. But if I had to narrow it
down, this right here is my most common makeup look on an everyday basis, when
I can not be bothered with eyeliner and eyeshadow. For some people this will be
a lot, for some it will barely be any, just keep in mind we're all different
and just because it is not your cup of tea it doesn't mean it's wrong. Also
know, I add or take out things on a daily basis, so one day I might be doing
concealer whereas somedays I won't even have the energy to do that. Let's get
into my everyday makeup routine!
First I apply my foundation/BB cream/whatever it is I am
using that day. Usually I use this Manhattan powder makeup, because I really
like the effect it gives. It is matte and I love that and it stays on really
well during the day. The one thing that kind of botheres me is how thick it is,
because it gets my brushes dirty even quicker and you can feel you're wearing
something on your face, but there are lots of things I love about it, so I keep
repurchasing it, although I am on a hunt for a lighter medium coverage
foundation. I am a full coverage kind of girl in general, but I don't want to
wear full coverage foundations on an everyday basis. I use my flat top angled
kabuki brush (check out one of my last posts to see what it looks like! http://tjasarupar.blogspot.com/2015/04/essential-brushes.html)
to apply it, but sometimes, if I'm in a hurry, I will also just use my hands –
normally I hate using my hands to apply foundation, but with this one it works
pretty well for some reason.
Next is concealer, which I don't always do, but I've decided
to include it. It depends on the day which one I use, but recently I've been
loving the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer. It's drugstore so it's
cheap, but yet the coverage and lasting power are really nice. I blend it out
either with my fingers, foundation brush or Real Techniques sponge, depends on
how much in a hurry I am.
I neeeed to set my concealer, because almost everything
creases on me and setting it kind of prevents that. When I am not all about
looking flawless, I use this Essence translucent powder, because it does the
job, but it's not my favourite (I don't use my favourite face products on an
everyday basis usually). I use a Real Techniques setting brush to set it.
If I am only gonna wear makeup for a short time, I don't set
it (with this foundation, with the other ones I have to), but usually I have
to, because I am doing stuff for a whole day so I need it to last for a while.
Also my skin is normal, slightly oily sometimes – deffinitely not dry though,
so if I don't set it it is more likely to get oily faster AND I HATE LOOKING
OILY. I use a big fluffy brush to do so.

Next are my brows which I just feel in and make them look
better and a bit stronger. I use a small angled brush and I also set them with
brow gel.
After that it's time to contour, I love this part. To be
honest with you, the product I contor with is the thing that changes the most
with me. I do have a favourite one (but that's a whole other post), but I love
contour and can easily go way to crazy with it so I prefer using not too dark
shades for during the day. Recently I have been using this one the most (the darker one, not the redish one - it's a Beautyuk matte bronzer). I use
a blush brush to contour, but I only use the side of the brush to be more
precise. I don't wear blush on an everyday basis, I sometimes do highlight, but
most days I only do the contour to give my face some shape, because I feel like
just with foundation I look flat.
Sometimes I will line my tight line with a black pencil, but
normally I finish it off just by applying mascara. I don't have any mascara
recommendations, recently every single one has pretty much disappointed me.
Lately I've been using this one the most, but if you have any recommendations,
please let me know, because I have been searching for a good one for sooooo
long and nothing seems to work right.

So this is it fort his post, I hope you enjoyed. All the

to ask and if you want more detail on the tools I use check out my last post --> http://tjasarupar.blogspot.com/2015/04/essential-brushes.html
Also, the photos of this post are not my own. I've had some
issues with my camera and the photos taken with my phone I thought weren't good
enough to post. Since I'm only talking about products I didn't think posting
official pictures from their sites would be wrong, but still I just wanted you
to know this.
