How I remove my makeup (night time skincare routine)
Hi there.
I need to be honest with you, I am not the one to talk about
skincare, because I am just horrible at it. A lot of times I can not be
bothered and will only use makeup wipes and micellar water for my eye makeup,
but today I am going to share with you what I do on a »good« day. I try to do
this as often as possible, but I am not the one to brag that I do it everyday.
A lot of times, I will use micellar water for all over my face and then just a
toner afterwards, which is not so bad – definitely better than makeup wipes
which I use mainly on nights out, but I am trying to be better to my skin and
this is how I normally treat it at night (or should I say how I should treat
it).
The first thing I should say is I have normal to slighty
oily skin, definitely not dry, so what works for me may not work for you. With that
said, I like removing my makeup kind of during the shower. So I will remove my
eye makeup with micellar water, before going in the shower. I like using this
Garnier one, because I find it removes my makeup really nicely, it's very
gentle on my eyes (which I LOVE) and it's also really cheap for the amount of
product that you get. I also remove any makeup on my eyebrows with this, such
as brow pencil or browgel.
Next, I will go in the shower, obviously tie my hair back
and put this Himalaya gel on my face. I massage it in and it is such a weird
texture, but it works nicely with my skin and it removes my face makeup pretty
good. After I gently rub it in I just wash my face with water. I don't always
do it in the shower but I find it the easiest to really get all the gel off. Sometimes,
if I feel like my skin is not looking its best, I will use this exfoliator from
Neutrogina, but I do this maybe twice a week, not everyday.
After I'm done showering, I will use my Himalaya toner. It's
really refreshing and I love how it feels on my skin. Recently I've purchased
two more things I've been adding into my routine, so I am going to mention
them, but I can't give you my opinion about them yet, because I haven't been
using them for too long. The first thing is this CV Anti-pickle toner, which I
use after my regular toner. It is supposed to prevent your skin from pimples
and things like that, which I've really been into doll-looking skin lately, I
really want my skin to be smooth, perfect looking. I will keep you posted if it
does its job. My skin is not to obad, but I really want it to be better, so if
you have any recommendations about good anti-pimples, blackheads and things
like that products, let me know.
The next thing I use is my Garnier moistruizer for my face
and neck and the last thing is the other recent purchase, which is this CV
eye-roller thing. It's basically like an eye cream, but in a rollerball
formula. If you have trouble with your concealer creasing it might be because
of dry skin under your eyes – that is in fact why I got it.
If I remember, I will put some vaseline or lipbalm on my
lips to keep them moistruized and that is it. Like I said, I wish I did this
everyday, because I should, but I don't. I've been getting a bit more into
skincare recently, because the key to your makeup looking flawless is to take
care of your skin. Skincare can be way more important than the makeup you use
in order to look amazing. Also, you only have one face, so you better take good
care of it.
Thank you if you sticked till the end and hope it wasn't too long & boring!
Love always,
T
