The lipstick colors"everyone should" own (pt.2)
Hi there.
This is part two so I'm not going to start explaining everything, I'm just going to go on. If you missed the first part or have no idea what I'm talking about, check out my latest post.
Just one thing, tomorrow and on Sunday I will post as well! I've decided to do that, because on Monday I'm leaving for the holidays and I'm not sure how it will be with the reception and all that, so the posts that should go on next week will go on through weekend. For a week after that I hope I will manage to figure out how to get the next posts on - if not, I will, as now, post them the weekend after:)
3. PINK
I will be honest with you here, this is where I fail. A straight-up pink is a no for me, I don't know why. I don't think it doesn't suit me, I just don't feel good wearing it, so I only own a few pink shades from back in the days. I do love pink lipsticks on other people, I think they are gorgeous, but on me - not so much.
Pink is a great color to make an outfit or even your makeup look more girly and lovely, a neon pink can make you pop, and a darker pink can make you look sexy, but sweet and the same time. Pink lipsticks are very well loved around the world and although I would never go for a barbie pink, a berry type of color is something I can sometimes pull off. As with every color, the variety of shades is massive and you can go from baby doll pink to a dark raspberry, the choice is, as always, yours.
From left to right:
AVON lipstick in Red Kiss; my favorite pink lipstick, because it's the darkest and can look quite berry, which for me makes it wearable (although in the photo is doesn't look that dark).
Beauty UK lipstick in Gossip Girl (9); first of all, the name is on point. Second, the smell is amazing, it smells like peppermint something. Great lasting power, smooth aplication. A great inexpensive pick if you like pink lipsticks.
Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick in Glamourize Me (230); I actually got this one for free in a magazine and if it wasn't pink I'd wear it a lot more - the formula is pretty good.
4. PURPLE
Maybe this is not a must for everyone, but I think that if you are into a little bit of experimenting, you need to own a purple lipstick. It can be soft and lavender-ish or bold and dark, I prefer that second version, but that's just me. I think that bold lips are absolutely awesome and if I am wearing a lipstick and it is not a brown nude, it is probably a bold purple or red or my favorite - the combination of both. For my natural girls this last part is basically pointless, but who knows, maybe I turn you over to the dark side, haha. Just kidding, like I said, do what makes you feel good.
From left to right:
Maybelline Color Whisper in Oh La Lilac (210); a beautiful lavender, soft purple color. A bit too light for me, but I love the color anyway. It is really creamy, but quite sheer.
Mac Lipstick in Heroine; the best purple I've tried so far, I love how matte it is.
Makeup Revolution in 100 % Vamp; the darkest color I own, definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I love it. It is not matte but not too glossy either, I really like it and it stays put nicely which is my biggest fear with lipsticks that are this bold.
So that is it for this post, I hope you guys enjoyed and that I helped you out a little. If you have any requests, just let me know.
Love always,
T.
