June beauty favorites!

Hi there.

Hell yes, I'm back. I still have stuff to sort out, but it's a bit less intense and now I have time to post aswell. I will try to post two times a week  now for a while to make up for the loss, again I really am sorry about that (if you don't know what I'm talking about, check out my last post). Today we are starting off with June beauty favorites!

P.S.: I do not own all the photos of the products mentioned below, due to my lovely camera that decided to stop working. But I think it doesn't really matter that much, these photos are probably better anyway.

First I want to mention this foundation brush, which has been my favorite for a while now, but in June I've been using it non-stop, everytime I applied my makeup. It's a rounded flat top brush which makes the coverage a bit ligher, a bit less caky and I find that really good for summer with all the heat outside. It applies the foundation beautifully. I got it in a BH cosmetics brush set a while back.

I need to talk about a primer which to me, doesn't happen very often, since I only own two of them and don't use them everyday. Recently, since it's been hotter outside and I have normal to oily skin, the foundations, that would look lovely on me in winter, tend to look too dewy (or almost oily) for my taste, so I needed to invest in a primer that would prevent that. I didn't want to splurge so I decided to first try something cheaper and picked up this Catrice Prime and Fine Pore Refining Anti-shine base. It claims to be mattifying, longlasting and oil-free and it is all that. I've used it under my not-so-matte foundations and it prevented them from becoming too oily when it's hot outside. It didn't make them completely matte, but that's fine because it's not what I wanted anyway, but it made them look better and last longer. Also, it's super inexpensive, so you can't really miss.

Recently, I've been really loving eyeliner, it's what I did almost everyday when I wore makeup. Winged liner is not something I'm the best at, it's one of the things I easily screw up if I'm having a bad day. This baby has made it so much easier because of the way it is shaped. It's just so easy to get in there and make a perfect line, either thick or thin. Obviously, different people prefer different shapes, but I think if you struggle with liquid liner or you're a beginner, this would make it much easier for you. It is not the blackest although it still is black, but normally I go over it with another liner just to "blacken it up", if I want it to be more extreme, since I just go over a line I already made (which makes it harder for me to mess it up, although don't worry, I still manage to). I'm talking about Maybelline NY Master graphic eyeliner.

I never wear false lashes, because I don't feel like they suit me, I feel like they make me look overdone and honestly, I'm not about to put that much effort into a look if I'm just going on a drink at night. But in June I've discovered so called "half lashes", which are smaller and you only put on the outer V of your eye for extra pop. They are faaaaaaaaaaar less obvious and make suuuuch a difference, I am obsessed! Obviously you can buy them but if you own any lashes you don't really wear, just cut them and use them like that. That's what I've been doing and l-o-v-i-n-g it for special occasions.

The last thing for today's post is a translucent type of a powder. I don't use this one everyday, because it's intense, I use it for nights out or for when I really want that bright under area. It's the Manhattan Soft Compact Powder Natural Look in 0 Transparent. They also have other shades for all over your face which I haven't tried, but this one I love, because it sets my concealer really nicely and makes it crease as little as possible plus it gives a really intense highlight which I'm all about. You do run out of it quite quickly but I will definitely repurchase!

That is all for today, I hope you enjoyed and found it semi-interesting or helpful. I would love to know what your June favorites are. Until next time.

Love always,

T.
