My travel makeup bag (seaside version)

Hi there.

The amount of makeup I take with me depends on the time of the year, the type of holiday, the space and how much I let myself overpack, haha. I am the kind of person that will usually overpack, especially when it comes to makeup. This is my seaside version, which means most of the time, there will be no makeup days whatsoever, but I'm taking quite a few things with me for those evenings out, dinners and drinks out, when I do want to look my best. I know for some of you this will be too much and that's okay, like I said, most of the time I am makeup free, because I can not be bothered with it in this heat. But those other times, I need a backup. Also, keep in mind everyone's holidays are different and ours don't contain just of lying on the beach, we go for dinners, explore towns, eat lunches in restaurants and things like that. Obviously, I wouldn't need this much crap if I spent every minute at the beach. So I hope you find this a little bit helpful!

1.
A primer: Catrice Prime and Fine Primer to keep me matte and to prevent my makeup to melt off my face in this heat.
Foundation: I am taking two - the Revlon Colorstay for nights out, when I want to look flawless and for other not-so-important-things my Manhattan Powder Mat Make Up, which is still too full coverage for me right now, but it's the best I had lying around.
Concealer: The pink tube in the upper row is an Essence dark circle remover, which I am taking because my dark circles are hidious, then I'm taking my Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer which I will be using for most part, but if I want a flawless face at night time, I will go in with the famous Mac Prolong Wear Concealer, mine is in NW20.
To set my face I am taking the Collection  pressed powder which I use to set my concealer and Rimmel Stay Matte for the rest of my face.

2.
For my eyebrows my trusty Catrice Eyebrow set and Essence brow gel, as per usual. I am also taking this liquid highlighter by MeMeMe, just because I can use it on days when I rarely wear makeup. I feel like powder highlighters need a base, a foundation underneath, but liquid ones work good on their own as well. I'm taking a sharpener, some falsies (there are actually two half-pairs in them - the box is not the right one for both) and a Catrice lash glue.

3.
This is all I'm taking for my highlight/blush/contour. To me, this is really scary, because that is my favourite part of makeup, but honestly I don't even think I need this much. So I am only taking one blush, because I don't wear it unless I am wearing a full face which I will not be doing most of the time, an UMA cosmetics bronzing powder (shade sunset 02) to bronze me up and then two highlighters: one is from Makeup Revolution and it's their Vivid Baked Highlighter and the other one is hiding in this Sleek kit. In this one, there is also my trusty contour shade.

4.
I am only taking one pallete, because I won't be using eyeshadow very much, and I picked this Makeup Revolution one, because it has a matte black, white, it has purples and it has a variety of browns which is what I will probably go for. Since it is all black, I am going to use my highlighters as a shimmery lid color, and for that to stay put I am taking my Maybelline Color Tattoo (the white pot), and if I want a darker base - the Essence gel eyeliner in London Baby 02. It is techically a gel eyeliner, but I find it way too moussy for that and it actually works really nicely as a base.

5.
3 lipliners & 3 lipsticks!
Essence lip liners in Plum Cake, Lovely Frapuccino and Wild Berry, because they are my all time favorites and lipsticks; Essence Barely There 06 which I've talked about before, I love it and take it everywhere with me, Mac's Mehr which is my favorite lipstick by Mac at the moment and a red lip for when I want to go all out; Max Factor Ruby Tuesday (715).

6.
Eyepencils: the tiniest one I can't even tell you where is from, because everything is rubbed off. I use it a lot on my waterline, when I am extremely tired, because it opens up my eyes. Then I am taking two black pencils, one by Essence and one by Rimmel.
As far as mascaras go, I am just taking what I have, not exactly what I love, because I can not find a mascara that I love no matter how hard I try. Right now I am using the Maybelline Colosasal Volum Express mascara, the one for Smoky Eyes and the L'oreal Miss Manga. I am taking two eyeliners, not because I need to, but just because I use two eyeliners to do my winged eyeliner, and these two are the Maybelline Master Graphic and L'oreal Super Liner.

Now let's take a look at the brushes.

I take them with me in this black bag which I got with a set of brushes. It is actually really useful and I am so glad I got it.

FACE BRUSHES

From left to right: A foundation brush, a brush to set my concealer with, a powder brush

From left to right: an angled brush for my eyebrows, a brush to brush through my eyebrows, a blush & bronzer brush and a highlighter brush

EYE BRUSHES

From left to right: a pencil brush for tear drop, browbone, under my lashline, for details; a flat top brush to pack on eyeshadow, a pointed blending brush for cut crease, an angled blending brush for outer V, a round blending brush and the most important; a big fluffy blending brush to prevent harsh lines.

Once everything is where it has to be in looks a little something like this:

I keep my lip & eye products in a smaller, white bag (as well as eyebrow stuff and concealers, because they couldn't fit in the bigger one) and then most of my face products in the bigger one.

Obviously, like I said before, I could go with three brushe and this small white bag, you don't need this much - or maybe you do, it really depends. I like to overpack makeup, because I like to play with it, for me it's not just what I absolutely need, it's what I might need to make a look I don't have in my head yet. I'm not telling you how much makeup to take with you or how much makeup to wear, you do whatever you want to do and let the others do the same.

Thank you if you stayed until the end.

Love always,

T.
